How To Order

The best way to order from Carstens is via our website where you can login to view your quotes, orders and get up-to-date order status and tracking. Shipping Policy

Please review our shipping policy below to understand how we handle and process orders. If you have questions about shipping costs or need help arranging freight for large orders, please contact our customer service team before placing your order. Some exclusions apply. Free shipping offer does not apply to select contract price customers.

Shipping Within the Contiguous U.S. (Lower 48 States)

  • Free Standard Shipping* on all orders over $49.99 USD
  • Orders under $49.99 USD will incur a $9.99 flat rate shipping charge
  • Expedited Shipping Options are available at checkout for an additional cost
  • LTL (Less-than-Truckload) shipments do not include accessorial services such as inside delivery or lift gate service unless specified and paid for separately
  • Full Truckload (FTL) orders will require a custom freight quote at time of order and may incur additional charges

Shipping Outside the Contiguous U.S.

  • Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories, Puerto Rico, and international destinations may be subject to additional shipping surcharges based on the weight and volume of the order. Oversized LTL items may not be available for purchase from Carstens.com, contact our customer service team to order.
  • Ground orders shipping to Canada have a flat rate of $19.99 USD

 


Shipping Terms

All sales are F.O.B. factory, unless otherwise stated in writing by Carstens.

  • At our discretion, Carstens may prepay freight and bill the buyer for the cost.
  • We will attempt to follow the buyer’s routing instructions whenever possible; however, Carstens reserves the right to determine the final method of delivery and routing.
  • Delivery to a common carrier or licensed trucker shall be considered delivery to the buyer. All risk of loss or damage in transit transfers to the buyer at that point, regardless of any freight terms or agreements.


Shipping Claims

Loss or damage in transit is at every buyer’s risk. This includes all shipments — regular and drop. Please thoroughly inspect all shipments for visible damage upon receipt of goods. Record all visible damage on delivery receipt. Report concealed damage (damage noticed once carton is opened) to delivering freight carrier within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt of shipment. Claims for shortages within cartons will not be considered unless Carstens is notified, in writing or by phone, within ten (10) days of receipt of shipment.
